SUMMARY: Ensure flowers are ready for production and store appropriately in cooler to ensure proper rotation. Transport flowers from the cooler to production area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Remove the flowers from the boxes or buckets following the procedures established to avoid damage to the flower. Remove the flowers’ sleeves following the procedures established to avoid damage to the flower. Remove foliage using stripping machine. Secondary operations (press-fit connectors, heat sinks, mechanical assembly). Rework and repair standards for solder joints. Root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies for troubleshooting and issue resolution. Strong knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721). Hands-on experience with SMT equipment, AOI/X-ray inspection, and process monitoring tools. Demonstrated success in NPI process development and scaling to volume production. *About the Role* We are a growing custom insole company looking for a versatile, detail-oriented *Production Technician* to join our San Diego-based operation. This is a "hands-on" role that bridges the gap between digital manufacturing and traditional craft. You will be responsible for the entire physical lifecycle of our product—from starting the 3D printers to the final shaping and shipping of custom orthotics. While the primary focus is production and assembly, there is a clear growth path for the right candidate to move into *CAD Design* as we scale. *Key Responsibilities* * *3D Print Management:* Operate and maintain a fleet of 3D printers. This includes loading/unloading filaments, bed leveling, monitoring print quality, and basic troubleshooting. * *Post-Processing:* Carefully remove prints and perform necessary cleanup to ensure a professional finish. * *Assembly & Fabrication:* Apply industrial cements and adhesives to bond top covers to 3D printed shells. * *Shaping & Finishing:* Precision-cut and shape fabric/foam top covers to match the printed insole profiles. * *Quality Control:* Inspect every pair for structural integrity and aesthetic defects before they leave the shop. * *Logistics:* Package finished products and manage shipping labels/documentation to ensure customers receive their orders on time. *Requirements & Qualifications* * *Mechanical Aptitude:* You enjoy working with your hands and have experience using basic tools or assembly equipment. * *3D Printing Experience:* Familiarity with FDM printing (loading filament, clearing jams, etc.) is highly preferred. * *Detail-Oriented:* You take pride in "perfect" finishes—especially when it comes to cutting and gluing. * *Reliability:* You can work independently and manage a production schedule without constant supervision. * *Physical Dexterity:* Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision (cutting, gluing, shaping). *Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)* * Experience with CAD software (Fusion 360, Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar). * Experience in footwear, orthotics, or soft-goods manufacturing. * Familiarity with 3D scanning technology.
